On Campobello, birth, death, and marriage records have been documented since the time Captain William Owen landed on Campobello Island in 1770. All Owen proprietors continued to record this information, highlighting the prosperity of Campobello Island. In addition, they documented all exchanges of lots and deeded properties, wills and testaments, island churches and unions, and other local developments and changes.
Our effort in this regard is a work in progress and we continue to collect information on a daily basis. With diligence and perseverance we hope to grow a beautiful Campobello family tree. We are after all, in a unique place, with a unique history, both oral and written. We invite you to contact us should you have any data to contribute to this island wide effort.
